f.y.e. (for your entertainment) is a chain of media stores owned by Trans World Entertainment Corporation (NYSE: TWMC) out of Albany, New York. The store traces its roots to a company called Record Land that was established in 1973. The company went through a major expansion in 2006 when it acquired the assets of Musicland Group. Musicland owned Media Play, Sam Goody and Suncoast Motion Picture Company,
The store has a massive selection of music (CDs), movies (DVDs, etc.), computer games and electronics. They also buy and sell used CDs and DVDs.
